I would like to note:
The males are crowing and getting sexually ready for the breeding season. We weren't able to tell them apart during winter but it's very clear now that the males are ready. They're already trying to mate with the girls.
However, we're barely at 12 hours of light. It's still at 11 hours and 40 minutes. We're culling extra males this weekend to take stress off the girlies, because I've heard when the roos start to crow then the hens will get ready to lay. But.. the light is still way under what they need, so I'm a little confused. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot.
