When will the Roo fertilize the Hens?

I agree with Mrs J.

I usually crack 2 to 3 eggs to be sure. But technically I don't need to cause my rooster is always jumping on one of the hens in front of me. Which gets a little annoying to see.

It absolutely does get annoying Grabbing them and jumping on top, they will never make gentlemen! But that’s nature I suppose, I’m lucky my reggie is good to my girls, he’s the only one who stamps his foot, drops his wing, but never gets anywhere, bless him! I’m not holding my breath for fertilised eggs….

Oh I wish. I have some silkie fertile eggs as a back up that has a very active roo fertilizing them. I would just like to see some olive eggers hatching!

All you have to do is watch them for about 15 to 20 minutes and I promise ya will see him trying.

I certainly hope he's not mounting them every 15-20 minutes.
