When Will They Lay?

I'm curious about this, too. I have four Welsh Harlequins, all ducks, and about 28 weeks old. I get two eggs in one nest inside the duck house every single morning. Never more or less, one slightly larger than the other. I'm assuming that I have the same two ducks laying daily and that the other two aren't laying yet. All appear to be healthy. They are getting layer feed and oyster shells and some vegetables. Any thoughts about when/whether the others will start laying?

Mine started laying between 5 and 6 months old. If they are going through molting egg production slows down, but mine haven't stopped laying yet.

My ducks started mating a while ago, but I didn't see any egg yet. Now, they stopped goofing around and I'm quite sure they won't start laying until days start getting longer.
My drake loves to try to drown his ladies, or at least that's what it looks like. He grabs them by the head and just keeps dunking their head. They're just like whatever. :p Don't even pitch a fit. I'll watch for spring eggs. In the meantime, I got some hatching eggs from someone and I'm trying to hatch out a batch.

Some ducks will not lay til the following Spring. It has to do with the daylight hours increasing. Mine have not stopped laying yet, but most ducks are seasonal layers or at least slow down quite a bit for colder months.
