I have 6, 4-month-old pullets, and I heard pullets lay eggs between 4-6 months. I know it's winter and they might not lay, but I really want to get my first egg!! Their ears are pretty red, and here's the info about them...
Becky=Easter Egger
Robin=Easter Egger
Rocky=Barred Rock
Batman=Barred Rock
Nugget=Buff Orpington
Brittney=Buff Orpington

Once again, all are 4 months and have bright red earlobes. They were all born August 2, 2017.

They will probably start laying in January.
My last year August chicks started in January.

Thea = EE 10 months old - not laying yet
Rhea = EE 9 months old - started
Molly = Black Maran 7 months - started
Blue = Blue Maran 8 months - started
The above four were born on the same day
Ana = Buff Orpington 6 months old - started
Nyx = Silkie 6 months - started
Butternut = Silkie 6 months - started

My experience has been that EEs take forever to start laying. Foooooooooooooooooorever

My girls combs were their first indicator of who was laying or getting ready to. My girl Molly's comb was nice and red when she finally laid an egg. I know Rhea is laying and not Thea because Rhea's comb is twice the size of Thea's.

I love your names btw, and welcome to BYC!

I've read about reasons they WON'T lay and yours might not lay because of light or the cold.

Maybe, but I don’t think they are mature yet. My layers squat for my rooster but these girls don’t. He ends up just standing there confused not knowing that he scared them off. Lol

Thanks, but I’m not new.
