When will they pip?

Tomorrow is day 20 for me, should I be looking for a pip tomorrow?

Unfortunately we can't see in the future.

It could happen anytime from now until day 24 really. I have had a pip on day 20 and I also had a pip on day 22 so I think it's just like having a baby, it's going to hatch when it's ready. Sorry I couldn't give you more of a definite date, but that's just the way it goes. I joked that I didn't feed my kids for 2 days cause I was stuck watching my bator.

Darn, I figured you could see the future! I didn't know if day 20 was the average for a pip. I figured they got 21 days from somewhere. . . even though that isn't exactly accurate.

I am broadcasting my hatch via webcam and have family and friends all over the US staring at some eggs. . . I'm hoping the show will start sooner rather than later.

Tomorrow's day 20 for me too and I already have 4 pips! Maybe you'll wake up to pips in the morning!

They are "Supposed" to pip on day 20 and hatch on day 21. But they are pre disposed to torment so don't count on it.

Ok try to remember this. Chickens take 21 days. That's what all the books say, but maybe they're just making this up and really want you to be surprised when chicks hatch on day 20, right?
So here's the unvarnished truth. Chicks can hatch when they feel like it. Girls first Boys second cuz it takes longer for boys.
Seriiously they can and do hatch when they feel like it. They may start pipping on day 20 but not finish hatching til day 23. You just have to be patient.

Like the song says. " you can't hurry hatch, you just have to wait, you got to trust given time, no matter how long it takes". "how many dud eggs can I staannd, before I hear a peep to let me live again". "Seems the only thing that keeps me hangin on..................
