I recently (about 2 weeks ago) inherited 3 black australorps & 2 EE's from my friend's mom who I know for a fact were laying for her. Now I know it can talk a little while for them to start laying again once moving to a new place, but how long exactly? They are happy & healthy, eat constantly & have plenty of water, plenty of room to run, & I have tried to not let my boys bother them too much til they were comfortable. But they stil aren't laying. Do I just need to be patient a little while longer??

Patience is a virtue!

I've never been known for my patience (not too virtuous, ask my husband

), but I have been praticing the art. I got my first chickens in 15 years. They are 19 weeks old and I'm waiting for that first egg.

So I'm currently at 15 years of waiting for an egg. I feel VERY virtuous at the moment.
