When will they start laying?

I know my orps will start at around 24 weeks, but I have 3 white rocks, a red star, and 2 columbian wyandottes too. THey were hatched march 7 2010, when about should they start laying???

Should be anytime now. On average it is around 6 monthes. Are their combs starting to turn pink? It is usually a sign they are about ready to lay.

Ok. All their combs are BRIGHT and they have otherwise looked ready for a long time. I got fed up about twenty minutes ago, and went out to put up some nest boxes with fake eggs in it, to "Encourage" them - AND I FOUND AN EGG!!!!! I guess they learn REALLY REALLY quick...

It was tiny, cute, and otherwise 150% perfect with the exception of a miniscule blood spot. Other than that and the size, it would have easily been AA. I <3 my girlies!!!
