When you should expect Coturnix to lay eggs? and some other questions!

I don't usually separate my birds for a few more weeks. I let them live as a family unit for a bit longer. You can always tell when you absolutely MUST separate them, by the level of chaos in the cage!
Ya, agreed. Removing someone at that point may stress the birds and hence further delay the laying. Good point :)
 
Well guys, I got two eggs today

. When I woke up I saw one and then after a bit I got another one :)
 
Coturnix quail mature at around seven weeks old. Even without the male, in a cage it will lay once a day almost year round.
