If i were to put chicks in with my adult flock, when would i do this? (Obviously once they were feathered). I’m afraid the roosters i have would attempt to mate them frequently, but as they are so young I obviously don’t want this.

How old and how many chicks do you have to integrate?
Do you have room in your coop to put a dog crate that will hold all the chicks, feed and water? If you do, you could make a panic door on your crate, so the chicks can come and go, but the big girls can't get in to them. This is a good way to integrate. Yes there will be some pecking. As long as none of them get pinned down and blood is drawn, all is good.

Below is a good thread on integrating at 4 weeks and a couple pictures of my coop brooder set up, with a cardboard panic door.
