i want to let one of my hens hatch off some of my eggs when is a good time to do so

Do you mean what time of year? Age?

Generally it seems to be the best time to do it is when they decide to go it

I've been successful with this sort of thing year round. Of course more vigilance is necessary in the colder temperatures. I have a hen with a 2 week old chick right now, at night I need to assure the chick has made it into the coop (it can take up to 3 weeks for them to consistently 'get it').

age and time of year my hen is young only been laying a few months but i always have to take her off the eggs and she means buisness when shes sitting

yeah i was wondering if they would sit the whole time in the cold and do i need to put her by her self so the others wont bother her
