Approximately when do y'all think these 4 hens will start laying based off their comb and wattles?
Hen #1: 22 weeks old.

Hen #2: 25 weeks old

Hen #3: 25 weeks old

Hen #4: 21 weeks old

Hen #2 will squat when ever shes fixing to be picked up if that says anything. The others do not. Any more info on them y'all may wonder about lmk.

#1 is close, probably less then 2 weeks she'll be laying.
#2 Is very close, maybe less than a week she'll be laying.
#3 will be laying at any time, if not already.
#4 has a ways to go, maybe a month.

Well some of that i thought they'd be doing weeks before, still none have. And #3 isnt laying yet I'm sure of that.

Now tell me, i just checked all of them.
Hen #1, almost 2 fingers. Hen #2, exactly 2 fingers. Hen #3, strangely, almost 2 fingers. Hen #4, surprisingly, almost 3 fingers. I also checked some of the hens i know lay and between them they are between 3 and 4 fingers.

If they squat they are getting closer, also if they sniff around the nest box.

My pullets were about 2 fingers apart when they started laying. The wider the pelvic bones the closer they are until they lay! Its hard to know exactly how much longer until they will lay.
