Hi All!
I am currently raising my third batch of baby chicks in the brooder (Buff Orpington, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Cuckoo Maran and a Partridge Rock) My question is for the partridge rock experts out there as I have a barred plymouth rock, but no experience with the partridge variety until now. Is the PR a slow feathering breed? She was the smallest when she arrived and the other three are growing like crazy, but the partridge is a little smaller and slower to feather in. They were 4 weeks old yesterday and I have had roosters in the past... I know it may take a few more weeks to fully see who is going to lay and who is going to crow... but the partridge has me stumped! I am 99% sure the other breeds are pullets, the PR acts like a hen, looks like a hen and was sexed (I know not always accurate) Thoughts on what to look for specifically for the partridge rock breed? Including pics for your reference, although it may be too early to tell!
