Where are you?

Hello from the mountains of Western North Carolina..... 1st signs of spring are happening - bears showing themselves for the 1st time. My flock is small now, death and predators I have a golden polish hen i call "Cher", 3 Mille Fleur d'uccle hens (my favorite chickens...so sweet unless not raised right, then they can be tough), a mixed silkie/bantam, Hennie the Tractor Supply hen and Fiona the penkin duck.

I hope everyone has peace and love in their lives and take care of them chickens !!!

I'm sure spring will show up here eventually, but we're still flirting with snow.

Weather in north central Iowa is crazier than usual this spring. Within one week, we had 60-plus degree days, rain, snow, massive winds and hail. Yesterday was almost 70 degrees, and I can see little blades of grass peeking up out of the mud.

We've mostly been in drought and near-drought conditions for some time. So, I guess I should welcome this week's predicted rain. But I NEVER welcome the resulting mud -- in the runs and what's tracked indoors by me and the two dogs.

Western WI sounds a lot like north central Iowa @Callender Girl. We had snow on Friday night and they say 70s for today! 40s the rest of the week with lots of rain tomorrow. We are near or at drought conditions here as well.

Lots of song birds out, buds are on trees but we have of freezing nights and snow still-some years we get snow in May.

brrrrr....i dont see how you all deal with that for so long. we only have like a month of winter around here anymore and that's enough !! But 70s !!! wow you can see the light

I’m in Rhode Island.
Wish I was more south but I’m here for this moment in time.
I also wish there were no laws or restrictions on chickens anywhere!! This is America and it’s supposed to be a free country!
The only thing that’s free is the cheese in a mouse trap!
