Gapeworm is relatively rare in the US. Have you seen the worms clogging the throat?

Have you checked the crop? A crop disorder is much more likely if you're going by symptoms of neck extensions and general lethargy.

It can't hurt to worm the chickens, though. You need a wormer that contains levamisol. Nothing else will work on gape worms.

You probably used a homeopathic wormer when you say "organic". I have never heard of an organic worming med. There are herbal wormers that don't do anything, though. You shouldn't waste money on those.

I agree with azygous, gapeworm are rare in chickens. It would be best to take a fresh fecal sample from the hen(s) that are gaping the worst to a vet and have him look for gapeworm eggs under a microscope. Then you'll know for sure. Some types of respiratory problems can mimic gapeworm symptoms.
