Where can I rescue ex- battery hens?

Ive looked a little bit online for places that "sell" ex battery hens, but they all seem to be in Europe. Does anybody know of any places in the US that have farms like this that rescue the hens?

I want some too, but I think they can't really rescue them here because its legal to use battery or its considered stealing and the authorities bla bla bla not sure that's just a guess I don't even know if it is legal here or not

There are sanctuaries all over the country (I work for one in WA) that have ex battery hens, and many are available for adoption. Where are you located?

be very careful, especially if you are adding them to a flock. It seems a noble idea, but can have a lot of problems with them.

Seeing that you work for one. What do you call the place that takes in the battery hen? Retirement home for battery hen? Would like to know so I can goggle them for texas.

Search for "Animal Sanctuary Texas". There's a sanctuary that just opened up in Texas called Rowdy Girl.
Any reputable sanctuary will do a complete physical (including a fecal) to make sure they are healthy. I wouldn't hesitate to bring ex battery hens into an existing flock.
