where did i go wrong

so idecided to put some eggs under my broody hen and this is my second time hatching eggs and my first time not using an incubator.
on day 16 i candled them and the eggs were about full and looking promising. i had one hatch on day 21 in 35c(95f) weather. on day 23 I candled the other egg and the size of the shadow had shrunk to about 1/3 of the size.
what would cause this? (note that day 22 was 45c (113f)

this morning i put a small hole in the fat end of the egg and alot of air fizzed out and when i mage the hole a bit bigger green liquid stared to spill out so im assuming that means its rotten

I don't think you did anything wrong. I think Mother Nature was involved. How is Mom taking care of her baby. Well I hope. Good luck.

The second one succumbed to a bacterial infection. It happens.
