Where did my ducks go??

We bought 2 ducks this spring from TSC. The first one a female Mallard and then a week later a female Pekin. They were free range in the yard, but they were always by the chicken coup. They sleep under the coup!! Woke up Wed. morning and my Pekin was gone. No findings of feathers from a fight. NOTHING!!! We looked in the woods, in the field behind our house. No sign!! Then we wake up Thursday and out mallard was gone. What could have taken them and leave no trace of either of the ducks?? BTW Nothing has tryed to get inside the chicken coup. No scrach marks on the ground or anything like that!!

No feathers I would guess a fox did a snatch and run. Ducks or chickens probably will need to be cooped up from here on out since it appears something knows where food is. Unlike the wild counter parts, a lot of the domesticated birds just don't get it when it comes to finding safe sleeping places so you have to do it for them.

Could they have just gone out in the night and gotten lost? I know our runner duck used to go for midnight walks...

I have the same thing happen. I can't find my pekin duck.
