Where did you get your name from ~

Well, my first name is awful and the most generic name around-just google top girls name or something like that. It's been the most popular since 1996.
However, I love my middle name, Rose. After my great g-ma I think. It's kinda generic, but not as a first name. I want to use it as my first name.

My middle name is the same as my Mom's middle name - I think my first name is just cause they liked it. They were going to name me Katherine, but went with Karen instead. Not a common name, in my generation.

ok for my first name i was named after 2 aunts, my moms sister name is jill so she switched it to a g, my dad sister is lillian so they put those 2 togather...Gillian...my other aunt is named marry so that my middle name.....i think my parents where on some thing when they came up with this!! hey it was the 70's

My first name was my Mom's favorite tv character and my middle name was after my Dad- just switched it to the girl spelling. I like it. My sister got named after a singer and has never liked hers.

First name is Rebecca but my Mom was the only one that called me that and she has passed so never let anyone call me it and I have no middle name thanks to my Mom and I mean that my Dad wanted to name me Edward after him. Rebecca Edward wouldn't that be a heck of a thing to be saddled with! Thanks Mom

I don't know about my first name, it's hard to say where they came up with it. 'Shelley is not very common. My middle name is Dawn cause I was born in the morning

My mom went to school with a girl who she admired for her long hair and named me after her. I don't think my mom ever cut my hair, because by the time I was six I was sitting on it! I grew up in a fairly small suburb and was known as the girl with the long hair. People would stop and talk to me and touch my hair. Its as though they never saw long blond hair before. But as fate had it, I took scissors to it when I was 13. After that I was known as the rebel girl with the short hair
