Where do chickens go when they do not rest in there chicken run at night? Were did the eggs go?

We have our chicken house locked up because we have a baby chick. We have bin letting our chickens free range. Were did the eggs go? We cant find any on our property. Could they be in our neighbors woods?

Check the bases of trees, logs, bushes, that's typically where they are. Under things. Chickens are sneaky.

One time we found an egg in our horses round hay bale in the turnout.

Suggestion: find a safe place for your baby chick and let the laying hens have their chicken house back. Can you keep the baby chick in the house for a couple weeks?
