I have a dozen Buff Orpingtons that I absolutely love.
They are 23 weeks old.
I am averaging 9 eggs a day now and they
are terrific to watch and easy to take care of.

So iv'e caught the hatch bug. I would love to have a next-gen
of these particular Orpingtons.

1. Where do I get ONE Orpington Rooster?

2. I don't want him chasing the hens around all day long
and cutting down on my egg production. Do I let him have a big day with
the hens and then separate them after that?

3. Will one hen sit on multiple eggs and go broody so I can let the
others keep laying?

I have NO idea what I'm getting into so any help would be
wonderful.

TIA

You can try craigslist for a roo. I sold a bunch on there

Its good to let him stay with them. He will protect the flock of any predators. You cna seperate if you like to.

You can add multiple eggs under a broody if you like. I have an incubator just incase she breaks her broodiness

Yes you can definitely set multiple eggs under a broody. I have hatched 17 chicks from my bator, and have set 5 hens with 11, 15, 13, 10, and 8 eggs under them! They just started off laying so well, if I had waited for them to start setting, they would have had about 20 eggs each!! I don't think any of my hens, save one, have had their own eggs to hatch!!
