Where do I put my rooster at night?

Ok...really stupid question-my apologies! I'm a total chicken noob!

Where do I bunk a rooster? Do they go in the henhouse with the ladies, or does he stay outside and rest where he feels like it? I have an older, medium-small dogloo that I could let him use- but I have no idea about what they like.

I don't have a rooster, but from what I read, he goes in with his ladies to roost.

My rooster stays with the hens. He takes care of them day and night. He's a good boy.

I agree with all-my roo will sleep infront of the door-1/2 in 1/2 out...I think though I m going to put a door there-because its been 4:30 in the am when he starts crowing! When hes inside though its very muffled--so a door will be going on...its for their own good with predators anyway-
