Thanks, all, for the DE info. I just ordered a bag from Custom Milling. Shipping isn't cheap, but I'm not fortunate enough to have either of the feed mills near me stock it.

Add 1.00 for PayPal - over 8# and shipping in a flat rate box goes up 4.00 so that is why I limit the weight to 8#

We pay $16 for 50# of DE (food grade) at the feed store just up the road. Same place we get chicken feed 50# for $12.95.

Wow, have prices gone up since this thread was started. Custom Milling is now $24.95 for 50# bag plus shipping. I am going to look for it locally

I live in South Carolina and I was ordering my DE from custom milling in Georgia. It was a fair deal but shipping was about as much as the purchase price. This time I called around just looking for someone who carried other products from Custom Milling. I found a feed store about an hour from me who ordered other stuff from them. They agreed to include in their next order a special order for me. 3 50# bags of DE. Their policy is cost+freight+$2.00. I paid $22.00 per bag. Way less than if I had ordered it myself.
So, my suggestion is, rather than looking for someone who carries DE, look for someone who carries other products from the closest supplier of DE.
