I used to get mine from Walmart but they now only sell one size and it's too shallow. I've checked various stores and can't find kiddie pools anywhere, I even checked craigslist but can't find any there either. If anyone knows of anywhere that sells them that would be great! I'm in the Jacksonville (Florida) area if that helps any.

I really like using concrete mixing pans - they are more sturdy. They are black, a disadvantage in the sun in the summer, but ours are usually in the shade.

What depth are you looking for? There are quite a few on WalMart's website that aren't inflatable. Hubby and I have talked about getting a big heavy rubber thing our feed store sells. I think hubby said they're normally used as feed troughs or something like that. They have the same disadvantage of being black like what Amiga uses, and I've been hesitant to get something that is so big and heavy that I can't empty it myself to clean and refill it.

My ducks use a doggie pool I ordered for my dogs a few summers ago. They would only use it to drink out of so I put it in storage & pulled it out when we got our ducklings.

TSC in my area sells the labrador dog sized pools for around $12. I ordered my smaller size from Amazon fro around $9 + free shipping.

My ducklings started out using the 20 lb dog size doggie pool. It was just fine when they were small because I could situate it on a slope so there could be a shallow end for standing and a deep end for diving and crazy swimming games.

Now that they're almost grown it is definitely too small for actual swimming but it still suits them just fine for grooming and mating games.

It is being replaced with a 70 gallon rubbermaid stock pond with a drain. I wanted to go bigger but the 70 gallon was on sale now and they really do need a bigger swimming hole now that they're playing "adult" swimming games.

Since it's almost the end of the season I usually get them off the free section of Craigslist. I did buy the 60 gal Rubbermaid stock tank this year and it's been great. I am dump it myself without it bending in half. Granted it is heavy so I'm not sure everyone would be able to dump it but it is doable.
