I only use the net as my source. I also check stories that interest me from multiple sources. It's amazing what the main stream media will keep from us and by using multiple sources, one tends to get a better idea of the whole picture.

Case in point,

There is a fairly high profile court case going on here, and it the defense claims that they did what they did because they were told to by the government officials that they served. This is all over the assets of a major publicly owned railway being transferred to a private railway company and there are big questions as to the legitimacy of the competition process.

This case has been woefully ignored by the main stream media here (if one checks political donations to our current provincial government's party, one finds that the media owners have contributed significanat amounts - go watch Mr Smith Goes to Washington), however there have been a number of bloggers who have attended court and reported back. They reported back important details the MSM chose to omit. They reported on what transpired (often significant issues come to light) and the MSM reported nothing whatsoever.

When did the media really get involved? When it was discovered that thousands of government emails pertaining to the period in question have disappeared. Apparently, they were sent for deletion just days before our provincial election.

This is why I don't trust any one single source for my news - especially if it pertains to the current government.

the news is mostly sad, violence and all, so if i get important information its comming from the internet via yahoo. if i want to know more, i have that opition.

I mostly read our local papers sometimes USA today ever once awhile NBC or ABC. and sometimes the Internet
