I have 8 duck eggs that are just over 2 weeks and a few chicken eggs that I just put in yesterday. Do I leave the eggs in the bator until they hatch or put them into the broody box just before?

Ducks take 28-30 days.

Chickens take 21 days.

Go buy another incubator and separate them.

Do you have them all in the same incubator? I've never hatched ducks and not sure they should be in the same bator if you have chicken eggs you just placed in there yesterday. I would think your humidity levels for the duck eggs would ruin the chances for too high humidity for the chicken eggs too soon.

They have to be kept in the bator for them to hatch, brooders are used for the chicks or ducks after the hatch is complete in the bator.

Thanks. I'll be making a homemade bator to house the chicken eggs until the ducks hatch. Humidity isn't too much different until day 25 or so for the ducks so they should be ok in there until I get it done.
