what Quail breed is good? If its eating eggs your wanting you'd probably want coturnix quail as they lay year around and mature in a few months. If you can locate a local breeder that would be best. Hatching eggs can be bought of the internet. Female quail of this breed start laying around two months of age so hatching eggs and raising chicks is not all that time consuming.

Coturnix quail can be raised at any time as long as you have a warm place to raise them.

2 issue i worry about that is AZ heat and Winter
I don't know much about Quail

Can i have Quail cage in my back yard Patio? Yes, providing they are out of direct sunlight; in shade. They should not be exposed to extreme temperatures. If you feel comfortable they, most likely, will too.

I also live AZ (Queen Creek) I have gambels and coturnix quail I would also reccomend coturnix for a first time quail owner. I get my feed from the pet club but any local feed store would probably have quail food. I use gamebird/showbird feed about 8 dollars a bag it lasts a long time though. And looking for quail I went ocraigslist phoenix farm and garden section and typed in quail, they are sold all over the valley and I think that they are being sold and mesa right now.
