Where in the World is Miss Prissy?

Oh wow Miss Prissy!! I didn't know you were sick with ear infections. I sent you a private message and was wondering why I hadn't heard from you, no wonder. You poor thing. I know exactly how you feel as I had Chronic Ear infections from the time I was born until I was about 11 years old. I had to have ear surgery when I was 5 years old. Had to have reconstructive surgery on my ear drum. They had to use part of a vein and skin graft to patch up my ear due to so many infections. I was born hard of hearing and am now profoundly deaf, not from ear infections, but from age and medications. I already know sign language as I have an older deaf sister. I hear via cochlear implant. It is wonderful if you have heard before and lost all your hearing. I wouldn't know what it would be like to put a cochlear implant on a someone who has been deaf all their lives, I think it would be harder for them to adjust.

Get well soon! I know you are so ready to get back to normal. I need a new speech processor ear piece as my padding has come off mine and it hurts to wear it. I think probably because the magnets have full force from the inside of my head to the speech processor ear piece. Them thangs cost $350!!! Whew!

I'll be a prayin' for ya.

MP, I am so sorry. I kmow how hectic life is with kids. I feel good for making it through another week when Im in perfect health. When I am sick, it's all I can do to get through the day.

I so wish I were closer so I could come help with things.

Have you asked friends and family for any help w/ the daily chores? Many folks don't even realize how difficult things really are and would be thrilled to help a bit.

I hope you recover quickly
