Where is my egg?

This what I found today I find it odd. My coop been shut up all day so where did the egg go?

Cleary eaten. Were the chickens shut in out out?

They were locked up all day til I got home let them out for about an hour. They have access to the coop and run all day. But I leave run door open when they are out because they run in when rooster alerts. He never alerted to anything and my dog didn’t bark. Do you think the hens ate the egg?

Yep, most likely a hen (or hens) ate the egg. Try to stop it before it gets out of hand!!

My hens egg is in tiny pieces of shell and yolk was gone

If the egg cracked do to a toenail ect., it is normal for the chickens to clean up the egg. If chickens are eating uncracked eggs take a close look at their nutrition. If they are getting a balanced diet, Add extra Calcium and extra protein.

It was a shelless egg. Chickens always eat shelless eggs.
