I am interested in raising some qual but don't know where I should buy my initial stock from. I want the largest coutournix money can buy that's a dual purpose bird. Iv read great things about James Maria farms. Do you know of any other hatcheries that have superior quality quail?

"Goncalo Moreira" on many of the Facebook Coturnix groups. Currently carries 12 colors of coturnix including 2 meat maker lines.
I just got 4 eggs yesterday out of my jumbo golden from Goncalo. They were 4 weeks and 1 day old. Males have been crowing for since 3 weeks. Both meat maker and golden are growing very fast.

"Kansas City Quail Farm" on FB is also highly recommended and is an NPIP certified supplier.

I looked at both and noticed Kansas City Quail Farm carried a lot of James Marias lines. So should I buy quail from his line or are there better quail lines on the market.

Robby from JMF is changing his business model and will no longer be selling to the public next year. He has selected 5 or 6 breeders out of 100s to represent his line to provide hatching eggs to the public.

Kansas City Quail Farms and David Fannin are part of those select JMF preferred network breeders. You can't go wrong with him. Just let him know what your end goals are and he will recommend this best lines to help you accomplish it.

Thanks a lot when the time comes ill probably order from them. I like their selection, most just have pharaohs I like ow he carries what Robby carries and even mores Ill probably order a 100 jmp, 100 am, than like 25 each of the different varieties like white wing, tuxedo, panda, etc. Thanks a lot though as I was planning to buy from Robby and didn't know he's not selling to the public this year.

You can always try Robby, he's phasing out community sales and will stop completely in June I believe. Because of that, and the fact that he's working 7 days a week (reason he's only going to sell to industry and small pool of his certified breeders) It is like hitting the lottery ticket to get ahold of him, and wait list is months long.

I don't have a list of his certified breeders other than Kansas City, but any of them will be able to represent Robby and his high standards and selection. Quite a few hundred breeders applied for, did not make the cut.
