Where should my brooder go

Nope not crazy, except for chicks. I used to have puppies in my room when I was a kid, along with the mama , worried that something would happen to them if I wasn't there.

Well the chicks will need a heat light for a while and they can be noisy. Will this interfere with her sleep?

You want a stable room without too many temp. changes or drafts. You want it to be safe from people ( such as small children) and pets.

I am not worried about her messing with then because she is 12. I don't think that they will interfere with her sleep because she has slept through the smoke alarm before. We usually keep them in the dining room but we have recently re-done it which cost a lot of money. We are not able to keep them basically anywhere else because our dogs will kill them because they are young and have killed chickens before. Keeping them in the basement because we have no basement!!! Thanks for all the welcomes and input on my question!!!

I've kept chicks and ducklings/goslings anywhere and everywhere lol. As long as you can keep them warm and safe they will do fine.
