Since this thread is still active, here’s a view from the back corner outside the coop of the new ventilation window I added on the north side.

The first coop I built was refurbished little tyke house. I used 4” pvc pipe and bought the slotted vent and cap. Covered w screen to keep out bees and flies. When stormy I just popped the cap on the pipe until it was over. I really liked the idea that I could close it completely or use the vent.
