Where to buy chickens and ducks

Hello everyone, I am planning on buying more chickens and ducks in the spring, what is a good website to buy from that isn’t going to charge a ton for shipping. I want to pay around 50-100 for shipping and the site I was on charged 400.

Are you looking to buy 1 day olds, or older birds? That shipping rate sounds really high.

What country are you in?

I'm in the USA, and I've bought chicks from three different hatcheries:
Ideal Poultry
Murray McMurray
Cackle

I think they all sell ducks as well.

I always bought at least 15 chicks, and I have noticed that shipping prices tend to be higher if you buy less chicks than that.

Have you called your local country store, feed store, co-op? They should be getting in chicks soon. This way you don’t have to pay for shipping and you can pick out the ones you like. Unless you are looking into full grown birds, that is different.
