Where to Buy DE?

I have read and seen that using DE in the litter and nests helps prevent worms and mites. Where do you buy it? I have seen it on internet sites but surly some store carries it.

I couldn't find any in my area, so I ended up getting it on line. Had to shop around though, cuz some worked out to over a $1.00/lb with shipping!

Finally found some at .27/lb on ebay (with shipping)...

Hope I did OK...

DE can be found at some feed stores check in your area. Maybe I am paying to much, I need to find someplace local and buy in quanity then sell it on ebay so it pays for it self.

Just be careful to by food grade DE and not the other stuff.

I buy mine at the feed store, at roughly $1/lb.

Got mine at Farm Supply in town. $5.99 for a 1 gallon bucket of it. Food grade. Gave everybody a good dusting today.

Honest. I've read that it is used to kill internal parisites in humans. Just a smidge in a 2 liter bottle. Doesn't taste like anything, looks like crap but tastes like water. Use only a smidge!

We get our Food Grade DE from Western Reserve Farm Co-Op here in NE Ohio. Locally it is used in maple syrup production. It costs $15 for a 50 pound bag.
