I know there's a soap making help thread but it is SOOOOO long that it is hard to go thru.....

I was hoping that if I started a new thread that folks would post where they buy their supplies from.

I found a place in Canada and want to know if anyone bought from them.

I usually buy locally but it seems a bit expensive given the amount of soap I'm starting to make....

Also, what do you charge for your soaps to recoup your investment??

I have gotten supplies from ebay before, there are several sellers with stores carrying soap making supplies including lye, essental oils, and molds etc...

For molds I like these... and they carry tons of other supplies

I pick up my supplies local. You can buy all your oils and fats at walmart or your local grocery store. Many block molds you can get at the dollar store or just use plastic storage container or even pringles cans. Now if you want major quanties you will have to buy online some best places are Oils by Nature, Southern Soapers, From Nature with Love, Wholesale supplies plus, Daystar scents and one of the best Soapers Choice. Hope this helps.

There are so many diferent places. I googled soap making supplies and came up with tons of place. Soapers Choice, Brambleberry, and many many more

PS: never heard about the one you listed

I use Columbus Foods for my oils that I can't get locally at a better price. They have been great. Shipping has been reasonable and very fast.

I love Brambleberry's fragrances. The Lemon Verbena is awesome. They are higher than some places, but I think I like them better.

Wholesale Supplies Plus is another one. Their FO were ok and I liked their EO, lavender, cinnamon, geranium and rosemary.

Camden Grey is another. I haven't their scents much personally, but everyone else has liked the way soaps smelled with them. Lime Margarita, Sun Ripe Raspberry and Oatmeal milk and Honey.

Lubermuth is a place to get bulk EO. Prices are really good but you have to order $150.

I don't have personal experience with any other supplier.

I agree with Morgaine, Columbus for oils is great, but you have to think big.

I use AAAChemicals for lye.

Wholesale Supplies Plus for FO is nice, I also use Southern Soapers for FO.

You can also check out the online saponifier magazine for lots of advertisements from suppliers.

Good luck in you hunt for the perfect scent!
