Hello again!

Just curious if anyone knows a good breeder of golden and/or lady Amherst pheasents (maybe even impeyan) located around or near Murfreesboro or Nashville TN.

Also, I came across pureply poultry in my searches. Has anyone done business with them? They have an amazing selection and what seems to be fair prices and so far in my conversations with them they seem nice. But would shipping be worth it? What is the quality of their birds? (If anyone even knows lol).

Triple W livestock auction in Cookeville, they will have a sale first week of march. They are on face book
Get on GBWF or softbills for sale
Mark Hall is in Huntsville, he might know some one
There are alot of good breeders out there

sadly im Located in Pennsylvania i breed red goldens and Amherst and every other year i do hybrids (this year) i also have green melanistic ringnecks pheasants and a Chinese ringneck male pheasant. try to find a local breeder whos hatching rate is very good. Good luck!

If your looking for eggs to hatch, then look at fertility, not hatch rate...to many things can go wrong during incubation, which has nothing to do with the breeders hatch rate. Say you set 12 eggs, candle at 10 days, 11 are developing. Move to the hatcher and only 1 or 2 hatch.... not the breeders fault. "What's your hatch rate?" gets used way too much.

Why do you breed hybrids every other year? Its hard enough to find good amherst as it is. Try Jeff Berger, Kelly Mcmullan, maybe James Pfarr, Tony, Thomas Edmonds, or any of people they may know. Look for impurities in stock as well. color leaks, not perfect bars on amherst tail, crest not even green/red split on amherst as well. Getting birds shipped is worth it, I have had dozens shipped to me and only ever lost ringnecks due to their aggression while shipping
