Where to Buy?

I ordered bantams from Privitt in April and they're doing really well. I ordered 30 and they all lived through babyhood. I lost 3 after a few weeks, but that was my fault, not the hatchery.

The hatchery was easy to deal with - they put up with me changing my order 3 times, their prices were the best I'd seen and they delivered when they said they would. I was happy with my experience and I'd buy from them again. Hope that helps!

I ordered from Ideal and well ...long story short... will not be ordering from them again. I would go with a different one. I orders some from Hoover and they were great but not meat however, were dual purpose birds all alive and healthy still(can not say the same for Ideal)...anyway I think they are in Iowa which would be kind of close. I have also in the past ordered from McMurray and they were good also.

Ideal is absolutely the BEST! But of course all my experience must be positive because I am also in TX. But I have heard of people in CO ordering from them with no problems as well. Prices are great, all the birds I have gotten have been Healthy. I see you want meat birds, so I would try to order from someone who deals alot more with Specifically meat birds. I hear Good things about Welp and they have a place in New Mexico, so I figure they won't have too far too travel for you! Goodluck!

I LOVE IDEAL!!!

i ordered 14 cornish x's, i didn't lose one on the trip (they were shipped with 12 banty chicks and 2 ducklings), i lost one when they were 1 week old and then another at 6 weeks for unknown reasons. i'm taking them to the processor today and i'm guessing the biggest roo is at least 8 pounds!!
they are 7 weeks old.

i'll have my own post later once i get them processed to show how big they are!!

order from ideal!! they rock and when i bought sexed birds, they were all what i ordered!! i also reccomend the gro-gel plus for when you first bring them home.

I am in the Rockies also and had very good service from Ideal this summer with my layer order! One day shipping and all came healthy.
I ordered Color Range meat birds from JM Hatchery that will arrive tomorrow. I would have ordered from Ideal but they don't have the rangers. This is my first time with meaties.

Thanks for the advice! I've ordered assorted featheed legs from Ideal, and I was very happy with them. The birds were very healthy and shipping was quick This time I decided to try Welp. I should get them the first week in Spetember. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
