Where to exactly place pinless peepers

I put on a pinless peeper yesterday eve on a standard hen. It stayed on her all eve until she went to roost, but sometime this morning she scratched it off and was back at her evil ways when I went to check on them. I reaplied a new peeper with pliers, kind of close to the tip/end of the nostrils, and she scratched it right off. Then I applied it again more towards the back of the nostrils. If she scratches these off I will be at a loss as to exactly where they need to be to not come off. Can anyone with a chicken with peepers show me a close up side view of exactly where the pokey parts stick in the nostril?

The hen is very sweet to humans and was to her old flock as well, but a predator break in left all but her dead. I cannot intergrate her with the new silkies and frizzle. She just wont stop attacking. I have tried everthing on how to introduce and slowly intergrate. She just keeps attacking...so I just need these darn peepers to stay on. Thank you so much.

The quality of peepers could be the problem, if it’s easy to remove, non of the pinless peepers I’ve used ever came off. This photo was few years ago. I never had to use the peepers again so I gave them away.
