Where to find Chickens in North Dallas/North Texas

Just finished my chicken tractor and it is ready for some tenants. Where in the North Dallas / Denton area can I get some Australorp's or Rhode Island Red poults? Not looking for the little peeps you see at Easter. Prefer to get some that are a few months old. Also not looking to having them shipped in. Also what is the usual price that they go for? hoping to start on a low budget.

The only thing I can suggest is to check with your local feed store. They may know of breeders in the area. Check Craigs list also.
Started chicks and/or POL pullets are going to be a little more money than baby peeps. Starter chicks are those that are a little older and no longer need a brooder. POL is point of lay. and means they WILL BE laying soon. I think well of you, preparing the housing before making the leap to get the chickens. Some people did it reverse. Well, you know what a rush that can be.
