Well I thought I had some turkeys lines up but with my grandma in hospice care and then passing away (after 12 days a long tiring 12 days) I wasn't able to make it down there (about 2 hours away) and they found a different home (I told them to go ahead give them to whoever was next).

So I've tried every feed store around me and nobody is going to have anymore turkeys for the season. I really don't need or want the minimum order of most places which is like 15 or more. I just want a couple poults of heritage breeds.

Anyone know of any places that do a lower minimum order? None of the hatcheries anywhere near me allow pick up, they only ship.

While the feed stores may be done carrying poults for this season, it is just now coming up to the time that the local flocks will be starting to hatch. Place a wanted ad on your local craigslist and check with your local feed stores and see if they will allow you to post a wanted ad on their bulletin board. Local feed stores that are not chain stores are a better opportunity than are the chain stores.
