If the kiddies want a really different looking chicken then you should check out Turkens. They are certainly different looking, hardy birds and they lay tinted eggs.

I did a small order with Ideal. Like you I wanted only one of each of what I wanted. It worked out perfect for me. They have a $20 min, but with one and pullets only and then you add the other surcharges to get just what you want....it was not bad and I ended up with a beautiful assortment of my choosing.

Thank you everyone for your posts. I just looked at Ideal's website and that seems like a good way for me to go. I am sure I will have Many questions in the upcoming year...so I'll see you all around!
