where to get an adult cat?????

Pics
When I was growing up there were separate neighbors we had who’s cats would just have litter after litter.
My mom would ask them if she could pay to have their cat spayed.
They would always say yes and my mom would take the cat herself and bring it back.
Those mama cats always got so much healthier looking with better weight and fur.
It always made me feel good.

About 5 years ago a little torti kitten showed up in our backyard.
She was afraid of people but loved our 9 month old neutered male cat, Titus.
We realized she was basically feral.
My husband gets up very early and over time he was able to gain her trust and she’d allow him to pet her.
Probably because our other cat obviously trusted him.
She would rarely ever come into our house. I think she felt trapped.
After a couple of months I trapped her in a bedroom and took her to the SPCA to be spayed and they tipped her ear.
But she was attached to my husband and he to her.
We still have her. We moved her all the way from Northern California to Idaho with us.
My husband used to say he didn’t like cats.
After questioning him I realized he didn’t know cats.
He loves his Miss Kitty. She’s totally devoted to him.
She pretty much just tolerates everyone else

Primarily speaking, yes. The majority of what we offer are spays and neuters, (avg 30-60+ per day, depending on how many doctors are working). We also offer regular vaccinations, heartworm tests, & products for flea and heartworm prevention, and a few other services. We generally do not take in sick or injured pets, those are usually referred to the few full service veterinarians around us.

WOW! That is a ton of surgery!! There must be more than one surgical suite? Bet you're glad to go home at the end of the day!!

It all depends on how much you value a cat. She was declawed and fixed, she never went outside. So to me it’s all about lifestyle and how much you value your cat.

I think your opinion is that an opinion. It's like tooshies we all have one, and sometimes they are okay and sometimes they stink. I have always valued my pets and cats in general, I think a well behaved pet should have few or no restrictions on where they go (I have seen some very well behaved dogs whom are allowed out to wander the neighborhood and rarely left the block and usually did their business along hedge or fence rows so stepping on it was never an issue).

Many rescues do require indoor only homes, however, they almost never check up on that.

They check up on it in my area up to 5yrs later, or so I've heard thru the grape vine.....

Okay....dang it I’m not pulling weeds lol. Back in the day when I was knee deep into animal fostering animals I ended up with one entire bedroom full of pregnant cats. PAWS would provide kennels, litter, food ect. Shelters euthanized pregnant cats.

You must live in a unusual area our local shelter REFUSES to accept pregnant cats, but if somehow they end up with one it's fostered until after the kittens are weened.
