Hey guys,
So I currently live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and I have two chickens. One is a Rhode Island Red and the other is a Buff Orpington. I'm thinking about getting two or three more chickens. There are a bunch of places near me that sell chickens but they are just baby chicks. I don't have any of the equipment to raise chicks. The chickens that I have now were raised by a friend of mine who was also buying chicks until they were about four months old. I am looking for two or three pullets who are about four to six months old and are about to start laying. The hens I have right now are in their cook for half of the day so I would want a breed that is ok being cooped up for that long. I also don't want any loud birds because of the neighborhood that I live in. Flighty birds wouldn't work well either. Do you guys know of any places that I could get the chickens that I want? Thanks!
