If I want to get an incubator and hatch some eggs for a small business venture, where can I get fertile eggs without paying a million dollars per dozen? Lol.

I found a local farmer who sells them in small quantities for $2/dozen except I have no idea which chickens will come out of the eggs. The place I am getting them from has over 7 different breeds and that explains why their fertile eggs are so cheap. Does anyone know of a good source? Maybe in Connecticut where I can pick them up?

Why don't you post something on Craigslist.com and describe what you are looking for. I usually see things like this under the farm/garden section. Hope this helps.

You could always post here in the BST forum. If you buy locally they won't cost an arm and a leg. The shipping is usually what's so expensive.

you can go on eggbid
go to
http://www.poultryconnection.com
and look at the list for selling I believe it is eggbid
they don't let you ask on the poultry fourm there
but this board has a lot more members and they should be on here
