Where to keep the food?

Thank you all for the input. I felt it was wasteful to put in both because they do spend most of their day in the run. The only time they are in the coop is at night when they go to sleep or if the weather is bad. We do keep everything elevated off the ground so we don't have the pest issues. I'm starting to lean towards summer outdoors with moving it in at night and winter inside.

See, you got LOTS of different responses, and all were right: all were right for the circumstances of the responders. I feed in the run until the weather stays below freezing 24/7. Then, feed (FF) and water come into the coop. Water is served up in a heated dog bowl with a gallon jug which creates a water moat. I do agree that it's not a good thing to leave feed out over night b/c of the attraction to rodents and more sinister free loaders.
