Where to order/buy Australorps

Hello everyone!

I already ordered/recieved my chicks for this year but was thinking of adding a few black australorps. Is there any place to order 3 of these chicks without paying crazy money because I'm not buying a large number?

Since more chicks ship better, very few hatcheries will ship that small an order. What you could do is order a larger BA pullet order and then sell off the extra chicks. I've done this on a number of occasions and have never had any trouble recouping my money as I have the order form to prove that I ordered pullets.

They sell as few as your zip will allow. I ordered 4 Austrolarps the other day and the total was $58!

As an alternative, you could look to source your birds from an area breeder - have you visited the local thread for you in "Where Am I/Where Are You" here on BYC - that is a great place to start to get to know other BYCers that are geographically near you and who can help you network to find the different breeds you are looking for, etc.
