and how much does it usually run + shipping?

(The only place I knew that carried it no longer does, they only carry Shur-dri now and I don't know if that will help with Mite control.)

I bought mine from Custom Milling. The other link is to the FAQ page here, which includes some threads about DE. There are sources in those threads.

I looked on Ebay and found several that sold food grade DE. Different amounts, reasonable prices with shipping.
