Hi,
The stores here do not sell soy free unmedicated chick starter. Also wanting something with animal protein if possible. Crumbles prefered. Anyone got a good lead on food I could order please? Thank you

I'm just not a fan of soy. Thank you for any tips on where to get good feed. Prefer soy free, animal protein, non medicated crumbles.
Farmers Helper ultrakibble has Salmon meal, & is almost 30% protein. I think it's like 29.6% protein(I gotta look at the bag again next time I get some). I'm just not sure if it's soy free, & it's a Ration that's supposed to be mixed with the chick feed you normally have that maybe lacking in certain nutrients.

I use it when raising chicks to help prevent vitamin deficiencies, & help them grow better.

Sure.

One, @Overthinker , where the heck are you???

Two, why do you want Soy Free??? but you do want Animal Protein?? Honestly, those two requirements don't often go together. That said, if you happen to be in the SE (FL, AL, GA, MS area generally), you need to find someone carrying Tucker Milling's 18% Starter Grower non-GMO feed. They also have a higher protein feed available, their "Ultra" line if you are raising meaties.

Its Non-Soy. Uses Menhaden FIsh Meal and Porcine Blood Meal as animal proteins to improve Methionine levels, is a crumble, and is non-Medicated.

Price is reasonable, I use it myself at the request of my top egg buyer. I have had some troubles while using it, but can't attribute them to the feed, specifically - I also have molting birds and goats who like to steal chicken feed - and I free range, so lots of factors affect egg laying in my flock.

Thanks I'll check that out. Do you prefer soy vegetarian feed?
