Trying to figure out where to put the coop and run.
We could put the coop up against the building right under the eave on the left side, which would help keep predators away from the back, and having it against the building would help keep it warm. I plan to have a box on legs, with the under part open for the chickens to hang out in.
We don't want that wall inside the coop- don't want to damage the siding- it can be free-standing, just pushed close to the building as possible. That area gets really nice full sun in winter. I can shade-cloth in summer when it's really hot.
I'm thinking that the squarish area to the far left (which is never used for anything), would be perfect for the run.
Any thoughts?
