Where to put the nesting boxes?

We are in the process of building our coop! Yeah! However, we don't know whether or not to put the nesting boxes on the floor of the house (which is elevated 2 ft from the ground) or elevated from the the floor. Thanks for the advice!

They will use them anywhere. I've seen them in the floor on walls etc. The main thing is to make sure they are lower than your roost. Good Luck PS. If you have a smaller coop i would suggest hanging them about 18" off the floor to provide more usable floor space.
