Where was my guinea?!?!

I am so confused... So occasionally one or two of my guineas (I have 4) sleep on top of the coop. The other morning when we got up the one male that slept on the roof had disappeared. We have never lost one before but with it being colder I figured he was an easy target and an owl or something got him. We left town later that day with no sight of him. A couple days later my friend went to feed the other birds and he was back! Where in the world did he go? They have never disappeared before.... So weird.

sometimes they do wonder off and get lost. They tend to find their ways back. though. Maybe he went visiting a neighboring farm? Its best to lock them up during the night to teach them to come back and roost in the coop or barn.
